    Get Involved

The week was built by everyone who showed up.

ACAW 2026 was South Australia's inaugural community-led climate action week. From 27 July to 2 August, we filled Adelaide with conversations, gatherings, art, science, ceremony, ideas and action; one state showing up for our planet.

Every event, every venue, every voice, every share is how that first week got built — and it's exactly how we'll build the next one. Here's how to take part.

ACAW is a festival — the programme is created BY the community, FOR the community. You don't need to be a climate expert or a professional event organiser. You just need an idea, a passion for action, and a willingness to bring people together.

From intimate yarn-ups to major conferences, from bushcare mornings to innovation showcases — every event contributes to the collective momentum of South Australia rising together.

What Makes a Good ACAW Event

    It's open and inclusive

ACAW events welcome everyone. We ask all organisers to actively consider diversity of speakers, attendees and access — including cost, location and language.

    It connects to climate action

Your event should clearly relate to one of ACAW's five areas of action: Learn, Care, Use Wisely, Restore or Be Ready. It doesn't have to be a climate conference — it just needs to connect.

    It lives our values

We ask all organisers to commit to our community guidelines: no greenwashing, no fossil fuel sponsorship, and a genuine commitment to inclusion and climate justice.
