ACAW 2026 is South Australia's inaugural community-led climate action week. From 27 July to 2 August, we'll fill Adelaide with conversations, gatherings, art, science, ceremony, ideas and action; one state showing up for our planet. Every event, every venue, every voice, every share is how this week gets built. Every person who puts their hand up makes this week possible — and there's genuinely something for everyone, whether you can give a single afternoon or want to be involved from now through August. This is your chance to be part of South Australia's first climate action week, build real skills, and connect with the people shaping SA's climate future. Flexible commitment — from one-off event support to ongoing roles throughout 2026. ### What You Get - Official ACAW volunteer merch - Access to all flagship events - Skills development and networking - Be part of SA's climate history - References and endorsements - Community and camaraderie ### Ways to Get Involved #### In the lead-up Join a project team working remotely and flexibly to help build the festival — communications, community outreach, programme coordination, design, partnerships and more. Teams are coordinated through our ACAW volunteer community. #### During the week (27 Jul – 2 Aug) On-the-ground support at flagship events and across the programme — front-of-house, social media and PR capture, community support and general event operations. We acknowledge their deep and unbroken connection to land, sky, water and all living things — a relationship of custodianship and care that spans tens of thousands of years and holds profound wisdom for how we face the climate challenges of today. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples joining us across this great southern state. We recognise that caring for Country is not a historical act — it is living, active and essential. First Nations knowledge, leadership and voice are central to ACAW, not an addition to it.
